The 4-week moving average was 637,250, a decrease of 10,750 from the previous week\u2019s revised average of 648,000.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0in 0in 6pt;\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: Verdana;\">The advance seasonally adjusted <strong>insured unemployment rate<\/strong> was 4.7 percent for the week ending April 18, an increase of 0.1 percentage point from the prior week\u2019s unrevised rate of 4.6 percent.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0in 0in 6pt;\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: Verdana;\">The advance number for seasonally adjusted <strong>insured unemployment<\/strong> during the week ending April 18 was 6,271,000, an increase of 133,000 from the preceding week\u2019s revised level of 6,138,000.
