The previous week\u2019s level was revised up by 1,000 from 304,000 to 305,000. The 4-week moving average was 316,750, an increase of 4,750 from the previous week\u2019s unrevised average of 312,000. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Special Factors Impacting This Week\u2019s Initial Claims<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">There were no special factors impacting this week\u2019s initial claims.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Advance Seasonally Adjusted Insured Unemployment\u00a0Decreases<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The advance seasonally adjusted <\/span><b><span style=\"color: #000000;\">insured unemployment rate <\/span><\/b><span style=\"color: #000000;\">was 2.0 percent for the week ending April 12, a decrease of 0.1 percent from the previous week\u2019s unrevised rate of 2.1 percent. The advance number for seasonally adjusted <\/span><b><span style=\"color: #000000;\">insured unemployment <\/span><\/b><span style=\"color: #000000;\">during the week ending April 12 was 2,680,000, a decrease of 61,000 from the previous week\u2019s revised level. This is the lowest level for insured unemployment since December 8, 2007 when it was 2,672,000. The previous week\u2019s level was revised up 2,000 from 2,739,000 to 2,741,000. The 4-week moving average was 2,752,250, a decrease of 33,500 from the previous week\u2019s revised average.
