The 4-week moving average was 408,000, a decrease of 7,000 from the previous week\u2019s revised average of 415,000.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Advance Seasonally Adjusted Insured Unemployment Rate Decreases<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The advance seasonally adjusted <strong>insured unemployment rate<\/strong> was 2.9% for the week ending October 1, a decrease of 0.1 percentage points from the prior week\u2019s revised rate of 3.0%.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Advance Seasonally Adjusted Insured Unemployment Decreases<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The advance number for seasonally adjusted <strong>insured unemployment<\/strong> during the week ending October 1 was 3,670,000, a decrease of 55,000 from the preceding week\u2019s revised level of 3,725,000.
