The 4-week moving average was 649,000, a decrease of 1,000 from the previous week\u2019s revised average of 650,000.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0in 0in 6pt;\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: Verdana;\">The advance seasonally adjusted <strong>insured unemployment rate<\/strong> was 4.2% for the week ending March 14, an increase of 0.1 percentage point from the prior week\u2019s unrevised rate of 4.1%.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0in 0in 6pt;\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: Verdana;\">The advance number for seasonally adjusted <strong>insured unemployment<\/strong> during the week ending March 14 was 5,560,000, an increase of 122,000 from the preceding week\u2019s revised level of 5,438,000.
