The 4-week moving average was 416,500, an increase of 5,500 from the previous week\u2019s revised average of 411,000.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Advance Seasonally Adjusted Insured Unemployment Rate Decreases<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The advance seasonally adjusted <strong>insured unemployment rate<\/strong> was 3.1% for the week ending January 1, a decrease of 0.2 percentage points from the prior week\u2019s unrevised rate of 3.3%.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Advance Seasonally Adjusted Insured Unemployment Decreases<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The advance number for seasonally adjusted <strong>insured unemployment<\/strong> during the week ending January 1 was 3,879,000, a decrease of 248,000 from the preceding week\u2019s revised level of 4,127,000.
