The 4-week moving average was 456,000, an increase of 2,000 from the previous week\u2019s revised average of 454,000.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Advance Seasonally Adjusted Insured Unemployment Rate Decreases<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The advance seasonally adjusted <strong>insured unemployment rate<\/strong> was 3.4% for the week ending October 23, a decrease of 0.1 percentage points from the prior week\u2019s unrevised rate of 3.5%.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Advance Seasonally Adjusted Insured Unemployment Decreases<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The advance number for seasonally adjusted <strong>insured unemployment<\/strong> during the week ending October 23 was 4,340,000, a decrease of 42,000 from the preceding week\u2019s revised level of 4,382,000.
