The 4-week moving average was 482,500, an increase of 8,000 from the previous week\u2019s revised average of 474,500.<\/p>\n<p>The advance seasonally adjusted <strong>insured unemployment rate<\/strong> was 3.5% for the week ending August 7, unchanged from the prior week\u2019s unrevised rate of 3.5%.<\/p>\n<p>The advance number for seasonally adjusted <strong>insured unemployment<\/strong> during the week ending August 7 was 4,478,000, a decrease of 13,000 from the preceding week\u2019s revised level of 4,491,000.
