The 4-week moving average was 450,500, a decrease of 9,000 from the previous week\u2019s revised average of 459,500.<\/p>\n<p>The advance seasonally adjusted <strong>insured unemployment rate<\/strong> was 3.6% for the week ending May 1, unchanged from the prior week\u2019s unrevised rate of 3.6%.<\/p>\n<p>The advance number for seasonally adjusted <strong>insured unemployment<\/strong> during the week ending May 1 was 4,627,000, an increase of 12,000 from the preceding week\u2019s revised level of 4,615,000.
