The 4-week moving average was 563,000, a decrease of 8,750 from the previous week\u2019s revised average of 571,750.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0in 0in 6pt;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Verdana','sans-serif'; font-size: 10pt;\">The advance seasonally adjusted <strong>insured unemployment rate<\/strong> was 4.7% for the week ending September 5, an increase of 0.1 percentage points from the prior week\u2019s unrevised rate of 4.6%.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0in 0in 6pt;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Verdana','sans-serif'; font-size: 10pt;\">The advance number for seasonally adjusted <strong>insured unemployment<\/strong> during the week ending September 5 was 6,230,000, an increase of 129,000 from the preceding week\u2019s revised level of 6,101,000.
