The 4-week moving average was 570,000, an increase of 4,250 from the previous week\u2019s revised average of 565,750.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0in 0in 6pt;\"><span style=\"color: black; font-size: 10pt;\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;\">The advance seasonally adjusted <strong>insured unemployment rate<\/strong> was 4.7% for the week ending August 8, unchanged from the prior week\u2019s unrevised rate of 4.7%.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0in 0in 6pt;\"><span style=\"color: black; font-size: 10pt;\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;\">The advance number for seasonally adjusted <strong>insured unemployment<\/strong> during the week ending Aug. 8 was 6,241,000, an increase of 2,000 from the preceding week\u2019s revised level of 6,239,000.
