The 4-week moving average was 565,000, an increase of 8,500 from the previous week\u2019s revised average of 556,500. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0in 0in 6pt;\"><span style=\"color: black; font-size: 10pt;\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;\">The advance seasonally adjusted <strong>insured unemployment rate<\/strong> was 4.7% for the week ending August 1, a decrease of 0.1 percentage points from the prior week\u2019s revised rate of 4.8%.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0in 0in 6pt;\"><span style=\"color: black; font-size: 10pt;\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;\">The advance number for seasonally adjusted <strong>insured unemployment<\/strong> during the week ending August 1 was 6,202,000, a decrease of 141,000 from the preceding week\u2019s revised level of 6,343,000.
