The 4-week moving average was 626,750, a decrease of 3,000 from the previous week\u2019s revised average of 629,750.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0in 0in 6pt;\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: Verdana;\">The advance seasonally adjusted <strong>insured unemployment rate<\/strong> was 5.1% for the week ending May 16, an increase of 0.1 percentage points from the prior week\u2019s unrevised rate of 5.0%.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0in 0in 6pt;\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: Verdana;\">The advance number for seasonally adjusted <strong>insured unemployment<\/strong> during the week ending May 16 was 6,788,000, an increase of 110,000 from the preceding week\u2019s revised level of 6,678,000.
